Our Story
Rat Soup Records was founded in 2015 by a group of musicians and industry veterans who were frustrated with the state of the music business. We believed that artists deserved better - more creative control, fairer deals, and genuine support for their vision.
Starting with just three artists and a tiny office in Nashville, we set out to build a label that put music and musicians first. Our early signings included Cosmic Debris and Velvet Thunder, who helped establish our reputation for quality and artistic integrity.
Today, Rat Soup Records has grown into a respected independent label with a diverse roster of talented artists across multiple genres. While we've expanded our reach, our core values remain the same - we're here to amplify unique voices and help artists share their vision with the world.
